I immediately mentioned it to the waitres... read more Five of us ordered beer-battered fish and chips from the online menu, but when it arrived, the fish looked dark brown. I immediately mentioned it to the waitress, who explained that it was because it was made with gluten-free breadcrumbs. I told her we hadn't ordered gluten-free and wanted the beer-battered cod from the menu. She informed us that it was not available. The fish was disappointing and the attitude of the staff led us to remove the tip that had already been added to the bill. As we were leaving without ordering desserts, we were sarcastically told "Merry Christmas." We will not be returning or recommending this restaurant.

We thoroughly enjoyed both the visit and the delicious food. The traditional pub fare was lovely. Prices ranged from £10 to £20 per person. We rated the food a 4, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 4.
