As we were looking over the menu... read more My wife and I were strolling in Foligno after completing some errands and spotted a new restaurant that advertised fresh fish. As we were looking over the menu we heard a cheerful and familiar Buongiorno! and were delighted to see a friend we had lost contact with when he left a restaurant in Spello. Having experienced his great service numerous times before (always at good places) and craving some good seafood, we went in for lunch. It was superb in every way. There is an inside air conditioned dining room and an umbrella- sheltered outside patio. The interior has an Art Deco look and is both intimate and comfortable. The fish is brought in fresh on a daily basis and we witnessed the delivery of live jumbo lobster as we were seated. We have enjoyed seafood in many places in Italy, including in coastal towns, but none beat what we tasted at Molo Cinque. The young Chef 's presentation of each dish, right up to the homemade sorbet finish, was masterful and complemented his perfect preparation. It is important to note that this is a fish only establishment for fish lovers and you will not find alternatives on the menu. An excellent wine list will round out your dining experience here. Interestingly, the Management does not encourage Trip Advisor reviews, preferring word of mouth patronage. But, I am compelled to share this find! Reservations are recommended for weekend evenings.

Af... read more This restaurant LOOKS like a very elegant restaurant, and has all the potential to be... but like many restaurants in Umbria the customer service is lacking. After the initial glass of wine was poured I had to pour my own glass there after and I finally had to ask the Sommelier/Waiter/Bus Boy to pour me another. If you're going to have a restaurant with formal waiters in suits and the prices at this level you need to have the service part to complete the package. Please please please work on the CUSTOMER SERVICE! It's important.

Among the many places we choose this one and we did well. Very friendly owner who still manages to set up a table for us inside even though they were almost full, friendly service, good dishes. We opted for the focaccia (torta al testo stuffed in various ways) and the pizza (finally low and crispy) well cooked and also generous in size. To drink, it seems to have a decent selection of wines, but we opted for beer, which was also good. If you want to go and have a chat over an aperitif or a good pizza, well go there and relax.
