The food was mediocre at best. I ordered brisket, galbi, intestines, and pork belly, but each meat dish was just alright. The intestines were excessively chewy and tough, while the galbi was overcooked, which made it hard to appreciate. On the plus side, the servers were friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The pork belly was likely the highlight of my meal at the restaurant.
The large intestine dish at this restaurant is simply fantastic. I always order it, sometimes pairing it with pork belly as well. The banchan, including steamed eggs and fish cake soup, is excellent too. I make it a point to visit this place at least once a month!
I visited a Korean BBQ restaurant that featured a Spanish chef and played Spanish music. I found the blend of cultures intriguing and was uncertain whether I was in a Korean or Spanish establishment. Additionally, the Asian owner was seated at a table scratching lottery tickets, which contributed to the restaurant's distinctive and amusing atmosphere.
I visited this afternoon with my friends, and we had an amazing experience. The food was fantastic, and the service was top-notch. We tried a lot of galbi and several other dishes, all of which we loved! I can’t wait to return soon!
The food here is scrumptious and reasonably priced, especially considering the generous portion sizes! The staff were exceptionally friendly and communicated with us in Mandarin, sharing their enthusiasm for food and the festive season. As a special holiday treat, we were served complimentary porridge and acorn jelly, but we were so full that we couldn't finish it all. The seafood pancake was enormous and incredibly crispy! The fish we ordered was perfectly crispy and complemented by a delicious sauce, while the soup was rich in flavor. Don't miss out on the side dishes; some of them are unique compared to what you typically find at Korean restaurants in Manhattan!
This Korean BBQ restaurant offers a unique mix of cultures, with a Spanish chef and music creating an interesting ambiance. The food received mixed reviews, with some dishes like beef taretare and galbi being criticized for freshness and taste. However, the pork belly was highlighted as a standout. Despite average food quality, the friendly service and pleasant atmosphere made for an enjoyable dining experience. Regular patrons praised the tender meat, reasonable prices, and delicious large intestines dish. Overall, the restaurant offers a variety of tasty options, making it a popular choice for Korean BBQ enthusiasts.

This restaurant is well-liked by the Korean community for its beef barbecue. The barbecue is tasty, but the service falls short of the quality of the food. The waitstaff insists on cash tips, and they often comment if you don’t tip enough. I came across their health score on another review site, and after seeing that, I won’t be returning. Also, they haven't updated their closing times on the website, so it's best to call ahead before visiting.
The beef is good and the serving is also good. They give a lot of side dishes and i love everything. Recommend for brunch and dinner with friends or family.
The waitress was very kind and even let us take food home that they weren't allowed to but the owners lied about the meat we were served. We ordered pork belly (galbi) meat but receieved pork shoulder meat. When we confronted the owner about the meat they lied and insisted it was pork belly. They even charged us the pork belly cost despite it being pork shoulder meat. We won't be coming back. This place would be a 1 star if it wasn't for the kind lady who served us that day.
Overall, the food was good, but it came at a higher price point. I didn't think the charcoal element was as exceptional as others have suggested. The experience was enjoyable and the quality of the meat was decent, though the flavors were a bit inconsistent. The selection of side dishes was impressive, which is common for Korean restaurants, and I was truly pleased with everything we sampled. While the meal was enjoyable, it's difficult to rationalize the expense.

I ordered pork ribs and picked them up.However, the inside was not cooked at all, as shown in the picture. I called the store and explained the situation, but the answer was that if you bring the pork ribs as is, they will cook them again. I was so dumbfounded. I asked for a refund and got an answer after a long time.Later I went to the store and got a refund. But I never heard an apology. There was no sign of regret. (I could have gone to the hospital because I ate undercooked pork.)I was very dissatisfied with the service of this restaurant.I will never visit this place againI would never recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to eat Korean BBQ.
Food was mediocre at best. Ordered brisket, galbi, intestines, and pork belly. Every single meat was ehh. The intestines were too chewy and tough. Same goes for the galbi, it came out cooked so couldn't check the marbling on it, but never ate a galbi so tough at a restaurant so far. Servers and atmosphere is good, pork belly is probably the most decent meat out of the ones I tried there.
We had a wonderful experience at Kangtong! However, the restaurant was quite warm because of all the grilling. Every dish we tried was delicious, but we particularly enjoyed the Marinated Pork and Pork Neck. It was also my first time tasting Marinated Crab, and I absolutely loved it!
I ordered Combo C for $84.99, which included a whole Rib Eye Steak, Marinated Pork Rib, and a choice of Beef Small Intestine or Beef Entrails. The Ribeye steak was incredibly tender, while the Pork Rib was a bit too soft for my taste. However, the Beef Entrails were well-seasoned and quite delicious. The meal also came with hot soup, steamed eggs, potato salad, and marinated onions, all of which were nicely seasoned. I was hoping to try the marinated raw crab, but unfortunately, it’s only available on weekends. Overall, the prices are a bit high, but the portion is generous enough for two people. The service was excellent, although the interior felt a bit dated.

**Food:** 5 **Staff:** 4 **Environment:** 4 The food here is absolutely delicious, though a bit pricey considering the portion sizes! The staff were incredibly friendly, speaking to us in Mandarin and eager to share their love for food and culture. We tried the special holiday porridge and the unique "squirrel angels," but we were so full that we couldn't finish everything. The seafood pancakes were enormous and wonderfully crispy! The fish we ordered was perfectly crisp, served with a generous sauce, and the soup was also very flavorful! Be sure to try the side dishes, as many of them differ from what you typically find in Korean restaurants in Manhattan!
This afternoon, I was out with my friends and we had a wonderful time. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. We tried a lot of Galbi and various other dishes, and we loved every single one! I can’t wait to return soon!
Delicious, fresh, and accompanied by excellent service! My family and I dined outside and thoroughly enjoyed every dish we were served. Not a single item disappointed—everything was flavorful and delicious.
I dined here yesterday with two friends, and we had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. Both servers were incredibly sweet, friendly, and delightful. As is our tradition, we ordered our usual dishes, and they did not disappoint. We initially planned to go to our regular spot, but unfortunately, it was closed. So we ended up at Mapo instead, and we were so glad we did! Everything was excellent, and we truly enjoyed our time here. We'll definitely be returning!
We absolutely love this place. It’s our favorite Korean BBQ spot whenever I’m in town visiting family. Their steak is incredibly tender, and all the other meats are delicious too. We also enjoyed the seafood pancake, cheesy corn, japchae, and everything else we tried. I’m already looking forward to our next visit!

One of my favorite spots in Queens for a blend of delicious Korean cuisine and a nostalgic atmosphere. In addition to the pork belly, the kimchi noodles are an absolute must-try.
The sashimi here is absolutely delicious! This restaurant is the best among the three nearby options.
