Was Anonym at The Yellow Cactus a mag?

I have visited this restaurant several times over the past six months, and everything I've tried has been excellent. The portions are generous, so you definitely get your money's worth. My personal favorite is the sirloin steak with tears and borons. It has officially become my favorite Mexican restaurant! View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about The Yellow Cactus:

On Wednesday afternoon, the restaurant was empty. We ordered the queso dip, but it was bland, so we requested some pico de gallo to add some flavor. After that, we shared a carne asada, which was unfortunately terrible—it was so tough that even a steak knife struggled to cut it. When we pointed out how tough it was, the staff brought out some Arta-Rind tips we had ordered, but they were missing the pepper and swirl.... View all feedback.

The food is absolutely delicious! However, they really need to improve their table service. We had to get up multiple times to find someone for chips, takeout boxes, and other items.

Delicious food, friendly staff, and outstanding service! This is my go-to spot for fajitas in Southern Indiana.

I had a disappointing experience with my order; it was messed up, and the staff had an attitude when I addressed it. I wouldn't recommend ordering carryout. The quality of this place has really declined. I paid almost $16 for this tiny portion, and the steak was...

Food was ok. No better than El Nopal just more options. I asked for flour tortillas and got hard. Server was ok but definitely not over friendly. They were not that busy. Went to check out and girl checking us out couldnt even wait there long enough for us to sign their copy. No lines and nobody waiting either. Second time going. Probably wont be back. Just not that impressed. Much better tacos at other places. Service: Dine in

Love the food. HUGE draft beers for seven bucks!? Wow! Not an enormous beer selection, but an adequate variety...and the price!! Very friendly staff. There's not a lot of options in this immediate area, but with food this good and inexpensive beer, this place does a great job! LOVED the mushroom quesadilla. It's enormous. I really appreciate the quick service here. It's always a fast experience, and the food is consistently excellent. I enjoyed dining in for dinner, and the price per person is around $10–20.

The steak was overcooked and tough, almost like shoe leather! When I mentioned that we might try El Nopel next time, the manager was rude and suggested we just go there instead. I was really disappointed and won’t be returning!
