Mount Athos Cafe - Florence
Mount Athos Cafe
Description
Nestled between Tucson and Phoenix, this restaurant garners attention for its appealing food offerings but presents a mixed dining experience. While the Greek-inspired dishes like the gyro and salads received praise for flavor, a lack of decoration and atmosphere left some diners wanting more. Service varied; some enjoyed attentive staff, while others encountered inattentiveness. The menu, though promising, lacked unique Greek items and featured higher-priced options. Despite its culinary potential, revisit experiences for some have led to disappointment. Overall, while there are enjoyable selections, the restaurant may not warrant a repeat visit for many, given the competition in the area.

The customer service is exceptional, and the food was fantastic. You truly felt welcomed.
I went here for a burger and it was great. The service was also great. I highly recommend this restaurant!
I ordered a hamburger called My Mama ? I'm not sure). It also contained a piece of fried chicken covered with what tasted like Tapatio.
The food was delicious, the service was fantastic, and the prices were quite reasonable. I enjoyed a salad and the chicken Parmesan, which had a wonderful sauce and perfectly tender chicken. My husband opted for the clam chowder soup followed by liver and onions, a personal favorite that isn't often found on menus. We were both extremely pleased with the quality and flavor of our meals. What truly sets this place apart is the friendly service that exceeds all expectations.
