Great service, friendly without being intrusive, delicious food nicely plated, good atmosphere. Wine list is small BUT there is something for everyone so I would call it focused , cocktails were good. Looking forward to a return visit. View all feedback.

Second time at black birch. Poor experience overall and a general sense of unsatisfaction. Too lazy to write details but I'm calling this a dud for lack of consistency and a pricy mistake. View all feedback.
I visited this restaurant for the first time last night and was thrilled with every part of our experience. The ambiance is lovely and incredibly calming. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. Our server, Christina, was truly wonderful. As a vegan, I was a bit hesitant about their ability to accommodate my dietary needs, but after calling ahead, they assured me they could help. They even prepared a special dish just for me, and it was fantastic! We will definitely be returning multiple times. I highly recommend giving this place a try!
White Birch has addressed the situation, and we are very thankful for their efforts. We have reservations for early January and will update our review then. Thank you!

For our main courses, my wife chose the bronzino, while I went for the pork roulade. My wife’s bronzino was excellent, but my pork roulade was disappointing. It resembled a mound of overly salty pulled pork, reminiscent of corned beef hash, resting on a pool of gooey polenta mixed with broccoli rabe—a rather unappetizing mess. The biggest downside of White Birch was the live music. I appreciate live performances, but the restaurant's layout caused the sound to bounce around the space, making it nearly impossible for us to have a conversation without raising our voices. In summary, I don’t think I’ll be returning. It seems the restaurant is caught between being an upscale farm-to-table dining experience and a casual burger-and-brew venue with live music for the Friday night crowd (yes, there’s actually a burger on the menu). If that blend appeals to you, it might be the right spot for you. However, if you’re searching for a quiet place for a special occasion, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
We live local and have passed White Birch many times. We finally tried last week and I am just disappointed we waited this long. They were not too crowded since we went on a weekday. We were promptly greeted and sat. They are a small restaurant, but the ambiance and decor brighten it up. Our server was kind and offered us recommendations right away and explained how the menu works. It is an a la carte menu. We chose to order the Onion Tart appetizer. The server explained how this was taken off the menu then brought back because it was so popular. I can see why that is. It was presented so well and tasted unbelievable. We could have eaten several of them. I ordered the soup bowl. Despite it being a first the soup is quite large but again it was delicious. It mirrored a better version of a squash soup. Our main dishes were also seasoned well, attractively presented and flavourful. My husband had the breast of chicken and I had the monkfish. We had zero complaints. My only wish is that we did have room for dessert. Our server was attentive despite it getting a bit busier for her and being the only server there. The chef clearly takes pride in the food and presentation and this meal did not disappoint. We will return!
