Reviews - Hudson Buffet
Reviews summary
Hudson Valley's Chinese buffet offers a blend of opinions from patrons. Many enjoy the extensive menu, which includes favorites like wonton soup, shrimp dishes, and desserts. However, complaints about declining food quality—often cold or lacking freshness—are prevalent, particularly with seafood and sushi. Service has also come under scrutiny, with reports of inattentive staff. While some long-time visitors lament the removal of beloved dishes, others appreciate new additions. Though the ambiance feels outdated, many still find it a comforting dining spot despite its inconsistencies. Overall, it remains a staple for casual family dining in the area.

Outstanding. This restaurant serves the best Chinese food in the Hudson Valley. I have yet to find a takeout place that compares. I was extremely impressed with the great selection, cozy dining atmosphere, and attentive staff. The dishes are well-seasoned, especially the lobster and crab. My only complaint is that cracking the shellfish can be a bit difficult to get to the delicious meat. Overall, I am stunned by how... View all feedback.
What ایرسیا ندوشن dislikes about Hudson Buffet:
They rushed me to my seat, even though I was waiting for my husband. There wasn't much variety and the food trays were almost empty. One dish was not hot enough, and when I asked for more soup, they said they couldn't bring any out. They brought us the bill and there was no fortune cookie. When my husband and I spoke to the waitress again, she didn't seem to know where our food had come from. View all feedback.

I used to come here all the time with my family but this place is no longer the place it used to be. The entire quality of this buffet has gone down over the last 10 years. The food is cold 90% of the time or it looks like it's been there for a while. The seafood doesn't taste fresh like it used to either. The sushi quality has gone down too; my sister found plastic in her piece of California roll a few weeks ago when we were there. Lastly, the staff are extremely rude people. They stare at you, ignore you, shout incoherent things at you as they keep walking when you try to ask them a simple question (like: do you have any shell crackers for the crab instead of helping. Really disappointing, coming here has always been a fun way to spend time with the family and eat great food. Seems like we'll have to go to Newburgh from now on.
If you don't have much money and have to eat well, this is the right place. Excellent service and buffet excellent thanks to Chinese.
Food was great and fresh. Staff was nice and the price wasn’t bad. After Newburgh Buffet closed this is the new go-to China buffet!

I have been a patron of this Chinese buffet restaurant in Fishkill for years and continue to return because of the delicious food. There is a wide variety of options including wonton soup, multiple shrimp dishes, sushi, roasted duck, and more. They also offer desserts such as cookies, ice cream, oranges, cantaloupe, and other fruits. While I believe the quality has slightly declined due to some favorite dishes being removed from the buffet, there have been new additions that I enjoy. Overall, I still enjoy dining here and would recommend it to others.
