Service and food was excellent. Went there on a Friday evening and expected to wait but were seated right away.
Service was outstanding, our group number was very fluid and team was super accommodating. Food was solid, drinks were good. Good beer selection.Food: 4/5
Simply put, the worst service we have had in a restaurant since prior to Covid. The manager’s solution was to bring free desserts. Unacceptable. After an experience with awful service, the last thing I want is to stay longer at a restaurant.Food wise, pass on the fish and chips. Fish batter was soggy. Short ribs and Mac cheese were very good.
We had the Jalapeno poppers for an appetizer and they were great. I had the Chicken Chilaquiles on the brunch menu and they were good but not great, little on the soggy side. My wife had the 101 Burger with parmesan fries and thought it was good. The BloodyMary is great. Definitely will be going back to try some different menu items. Everything was fresh and hot, our server in thebar was very attentive and did a great job.
I've been a patron of 101 Beer Kitchen for more than a year and it's still my favorite restaurant. Their seasonal menus are always fresh and inventive and bring in a lot of ingredients that you don't find on a lot of menus in Indiana. This is arestaurant that strives for fresh, seasonal ingredients that focuses on doing a small set of dishes. That said, I love the foodhere and it's one of the few places in town that I crave. Recommendations: -Shrimp and grits (year round) -Autumn SalmonBowl -Ale Cheddar soup (year round, ask for extra croutons) -Tater tots -Basically anything on the menu Despite its name, there's a relatively small beer list but they have great diversity on the menu with several internationally sources beers. Thecocktail menu also updates seasonally with a good share of liquor choices. Service is usually pretty good but as with anyrestaurant now you got to give them grace as staying is still hard to come by for a lot of places. Finally, I love being there. If I copy and paste the decor into my home, I would. Beautiful but casual atmosphere.
