The place is out of the city centre, but well worth the taxi ride. Used predominantly by locals, it boasts an extensive and interesting range of seafood, expertly prepared and professionally served. Portions err on the generous side, a fact obviously known to the regular clientele who were ordering single dishes to share. I had home made ravioli filled with spinach and ricotta and served with butter and sage, followed by the ‘frittura’ (mixed fried fish and crustaceans) ever, ever, ever. Well chosen wines were offered to complement the fish. The prices, appropriate to the quality of the offering, represented good value.

We were not dis... read more During a recent business trip to Florence, my colleagues and I took our customer to Da Settimo, having heard of its reputation for good seafood. We were not disappointed. I had a pasta dish with crab that tasted fresh from the sea. The pasta was fantastic and the dish was full of great flavors. Good wines (white and red), excellent service, and a good atmosphere. I would definitely recommend and have no problem returning.
