Weekend are pumping with a DJ and on quite nights, it's nice to seat by the bar and chat with the staff. I miss this place the most! This place is easy to find and the staff speaks amazing English.

The bartender... read more This is an American style bar in Florence. It appears to cater to cocktail type drinks basic draft beer. Average to high prices but good service. The bartender spoke English and was very polite to us. There was live jazz music. We were there at 22:00 on a Tuesday night and it was busy with patrons. Recommend if you want a sit down at the bar experience.

Looked at various places and saw the pictures and... read more Tried to go out on a Saturday night- I rarely got out anymore because my tolerance for b.s. is extremely low. Looked at various places and saw the pictures and reviews for Rex, thought it seemed fun. Got dressed and walked ~20 minutes to find the place closed when it was supposed to be open. My time officially wasted, I got gelato and went for a night walk to shake off my feelings of frustration. Luckily, I did stumble upon an impromptu violin performance near the Uffizi that helped my mood.
