Having had some of the best pastries in Italy at this place and then seeing the ratings only tells me that the ratings can be extremely deceptive. I ate a Nonnia (I am told it means grandmother) and it was beyond description phenomenal. The lesson is to read the reviews carefully especially in the newer ones. People try to ruin a restaurant because of their perceived shuns instead of a true rating on the food. I foun... View all feedback.
The location super. the homemade pastries are delicious. the service is amazing. very nice personally both inside and outside. the prices are reasonable. what an early mamma mia!
Very nice place to sit. read the menu with a parlor before ordering and complaining. great view, good service, great drinks. we have free chips and Italian snacks to 2 drinks
We had a great breakfast, fresh, tasty and with various choices. Also the coffee was the perfect Italian choice. We would definitely recommend if you visit Florence. The view is also unique, near the fountain and statue of David.
Sitting on the terrazza of piazza della Signoria in Florence opposite the Palazzo Vecchio. One of the great tourist sites of the world.. Two bottles of beer and a plate of nibbles cost 19 euros or £9.30 each. But you know what ? That's exactly the same as I paid for a bottle of beer in the viewless Verdi restaurant, Royal Albert Hall at the Proms last week. London restaurant and bar prices basically make everything in Europe look cheap ! Perfectly nice experience !
Advise against having breakfast here. Omelette takes a long time to arrive and then it looks like a child made it, compared to the beautiful omelette on the menu, which carries no prices. So called toast is yesterday's bread, hard as a brick and no taste. Omelette has below average taste, no butter used and ham from a cheap supermarket. The image shows a lovely salad to accompany the omelette, two pieces of lettuce and a tiny tomato arrive, cut in half. Early Grey tea, of poor quality. Orange juice from a carton. Just don't go there. Go to Rivoire on same square, excellent and less expensive, though it us luxurious.
