What Anonym dislikes about Migone:
I am not sure that this place has a reason to be listed on happy kuh as vegan options are very limited and not clearly marked. for example, I saw two different types of cacao panforte, one in the ingredient list had honey and the other had it not, and they were both placed at the same place! also every piece of panpepato I saw had honey in it, so they probably changed the recipe when this place was first checked. Quaint little candy shop by the Duomo. The window display was so attractive and colorful that we stumbled right in after walking around the Duomo. We bought some panforte and marzipan bars to bring back home to friends and family. But we ended up eating them all ourselves! So we kept coming back for more. It’s a family owned and ran business. They don’t ship nor do they have a website. So be sure to stop by Migone to satisfy your sweet cravings. You won’t be disappointed.

I have been coming to this candy shop for almost 40 years and I believe they make the best chocolates in all of Italy. The handmade candies are a bit expensive but if you value quality over quantity then this is the store for you. I particularly enjoy the chocolate covered orange peel, but everything is great. And if your a fan of marzipan then you will love it here.

We stumbled on Migone looking for gifts to bring home. The shop sells all manner of sweets from nougat to chocolates all delightfully displayed and packaged. The boxes in the shape of the Duomo were especially captivating. Migone has been in business since 1906 so that says a lot about the quality of their goods.

The store front speaks of a bygone era and every sweet and biscuit in here is beautiful. I have sampled a range of treats and thoughts everything was delicious. The chocolate orange is not overly sweet which is a good thing . The ladies who work here are lovely and your treats are beautifully packaged. Yes perhaps it’s a little expensive but given it’s location and the nature of handmade food it’s fine. Probably makes for a nice gift for friends and family if you can manage to get some home.

This small store has been in business since the turn of the century and is a beautiful display of many of my favorite things. The shelves are stacked with all manner of candy, traditional torrone, panforte, chocolate covered almonds, candied violets and roses, biscotti, riccarelli , chocolate creams and fruit jellies. The absolute best part are some of the unique containers you can select for your candy, boxes in the shape of the dome of the Duomo, or the facade of the front. Excellent small gifts for special people and that includes you, after all you deserve it!
