What veronica Noyer doesn't like about La Cucina Di Siro:
Appetizer of good quality but low in quantity for the price. Excellent grilled octopus. Bad grilled because the fish was 'baked ' AND not grilled. ... tradition that we don 't share... View all feedback.
A very nice Thai touch to authentic Italian seafood. Was exploring with Wife cheap eats around the hotel in Florence. Bump into this subtle restaurant with eye catching displayed fresh seafood. The lady who served us is from Thailand, interestingly she turned out to be the chef as well. They only provide Italian menu however after we told her what we like (wife want spaghetti and I want risotto). She also checked our preference (e.g. what to go alone, protien, vege, aldente , etc) and then just made it perfectly, accordingly. Both dishes were perfect, especially the red prawn spaghetti with a hinge of ginger and thai spicy (hot) perfecto !!
U can find local Thai food here, and the Thai sauce is very delicious.
Fresh fish cooked very well although I was expecting more flavours!! The very kind but little-informed waitress about the dishes in general, a pity, I asked what type of frying they had used with the mixed fry, as it was very good, but she was unable to answer me. Then we ordered a tentacular first course which had very little tentacles, very spicy with lots of sauce and tuna. Also in this case we asked for information but the waitress replied that the chef can do his own thing by changing dishes. Leaving aside these details and wanting to summarize it is a very nice place, the grilled fish was very good, everything cooked to perfection! A discovery for me who am Sicilian and I love fish! We will definitely be back
Reviewing a fish restaurant is nowadays a very difficult thing. mainly fish restaurants are divided into: those that focus on quantity; those who focus on quality. this is certainly a restaurant that focuses on quality; so don't expect a lot of fish in many sauces but the right amount of fish and the resulting quality. Ergo, to those who say: I was expecting more flavours, or the fish was raw, I would answer: the quantity of flavors is not an indication of quality And this restaurant works a lot with raw fish and making a raw fish that doesn't take you to the next day hospital and quality index. Let's get to the review: the Tartares are very good; very good baked gurnard; very nice owner family run restaurant; reserved environment; Satisfying dishes in portions at excellent prices. Negative point: I don't get any; maybe I'll tell you tomorrow as I go back. Day 2. As promised I'm back and I increase the dose abundant portions, low prices and surprise is also THAI .... immense. Must try the tom yam kom show!!!
