We were a large party 10 of... read more We had a amazing dinner at Martare last night. Run by a beautiful couple, Marta who served us out front and Massimo who is the chef. We were a large party 10 of us and we were there to celebrate our friend Mark’s birthday. Marta and Massimo made it feel special. Mark or Marco spoke a little Italian which warmed the relationship. Oh and they have a wonderful wine selection as well. Everyone should come to Martare. And to top it off they have a little dog named Ken Follet. How cute is that. Haha.

The restaurant was just a short walk away from our stay and we were impressed by how pretty and charming the place is. Marta and her partner create a welcoming and authentic experience. My wife and I were impressed by the 20 page wine list and homey dishes, all served sweetly by Marta herself. We were full after the delicious antipasti, primi, and secondi, and a little jealous when we heard another table order the homemade ice cream. And all of this right near the Duomo.
