I took some particular fish before: tomato and black sepia; mixed fried second: really quality fish and fried as a rule of art. recommended wine from the waiter (very nice). Maybe I was lucky, but it was all very good, I'll go back to try the other dishes.

Buona qualità, prezzo onesto sul vino ma prezzi eccessivi per la quantità offerta. Un sautè di vongole, non molto, costa 22 euro. Eccessivo.

This spot good for casual seafood dinner. Swordfish with olives and tomatoes was delicious. Octopus in red sauce appetizer was amazing. Good ricotta cheesecake. We will go back again next year trip.

The restaurant is quaint and cozy. The food is delicious and the service is wonderful. My husband and I ate here a few times when we stayed in Florence for two weeks. The restaurant owners are very friendly and spoke English very well. We felt like old friends after we came twice. They remembered what we liked and recommended new foods to try. The menu is very diverse, every day the menu changes. The restaurant is decorated with nice paintings and is very clean. Would definitely recommend to other couples!

What a great start to our perfect week in Florence. We were there 2 weeks ago, and we had just about the best meal of the week. The area around La Cambusa del Capitano is not tourist heavy and it is located just outside the city centre (30 min walk). It's easy to find with a map app and most importantly the food is gorgeous. We ordered grilled octopus to start with. We then got the grilled seafood platter and fried seafood platter with a side of olive oil and garlic zucchini for our main. Their house white wine went perfectly with the super fresh seafood we were served with. The guys who run the place are sweet and approachable. This place is a definite must-go!
