I ordered pizza topped with mus... read more The 10 euro two course lunch special was what initially brought me in, however I ended up having one of their wood fired pizzas. I ordered pizza topped with mushrooms, sausage, onions and mozzarella. The crust was just the right thickness and had a nice overall taste a little sweet and salty. The toppings were plentiful (onions were fantastic sweet onions). I enjoyed a glass of red wine with my pizza. My server was very attentive (poured both my wine and water) and friendly, checking in on me periodically. Atmosphere is rustic/traditional with lots of wood, stone and old photos of the city. Prices are very reasonable and portions generous.

I... read more My wife and I dined at IL Boccale and had a very good meal. I was very surprised that the cut beef was so good. My wife had a pasta dish which was very tasty. It is a small restaurant and when really busy, the service is a bit slower, so just take your time, drink some wine and enjoy your meal as we did.

Both... read more My wife and I ate lunch here at the cute Il Boccale twice during our visit to Florence. This restaurant was right next to our hotel, the Hotel Alessandra. Both times I had a margarita pizza and my wife had the insalata misto. We were very pleased with the service, ambiance, and the food. We recommend, and would return.
