Gelateria Pitti is unequivocally the best gelato store in the world. The magic behind this unparalleled taste is Albina, who not only crafts each gelato but is also the heart and soul of this place. She’s incredibly friendly and attentive, making every visit special. Every flavor here is rich, creamy, and bursting with genuine Italian taste. The Nutella flavour? Simply the best I’ve ever had! And if you’re looking for an indulgent combo, I highly recommend pairing the Nutella with the salted butter flavour—it’s an experience you won’t forget. But it’s not just the taste. The portion sizes are more than generous, especially for the very reasonable prices. At around 8 euros for two medium cones, each packed with two large scoops, you’re getting tremendous value, particularly for Florence. Throughout my Italian journey, I’ve tried countless gelato places, but none came close to Gelateria Pitti. I returned multiple times, each visit confirming its unmatched excellence. When you visit, make sure to greet Albina; her warmth towards everyone truly stands out. Let’s support such amazing small businesses. If you’re in Florence and craving gelato, there’s no other place to be! BEWARE of the whipped large gelato mounds at other Florence Gelato stores, this is not right! This is the real deal!

This small unassuming gelateria is situated opposite the Pitti Palace. The ice cream is divine! It is made at the back of the shop and you can taste the individuality of the flavours. Fresh fruits, delicious chocolate in the strachiatella. A charming woman serves you and she is also the creator of the ice cream! Topped off with a visit to the Pitti Palace and the amazing art on the first floor. How can you go wrong?

Five days in Florence and I went three days to this small gelateria, I couldn’t say no! over and over again to this gelato! I entirely recommend this place, the Owners were super kind and the bubble waffle and gelatos are insane! Take into account that only receive cash!
