Th... read more Not your typical restaurant. Over the Ponte Vecchio bridge in Oltrano on a quite little street corner, you will find one of the best restaurants in Florence. The food is authentic Florentine and I suspect mostly locals eat here. Its more like going to your familys house for dinner, not fancy but you know everything was prepared with passion and love. Our waiter Tony was excellent. He made his suggestions and we ordered everything he said. The Tripe Florentine was nothing like we were use to. No red sauce, no potatoes or peas. It was in a simple broth of onions and carrots and the best we have ever tasted. The Ribolita was also outstanding. We also had the pork chop which was tender and amazing. Tony was so kind and he even let me try speaking to him in Italian. We enjoyed the house wine. The meal was so good and Tony was so welcoming, we went back on our last night in Florence. The menu is simple and the food was delicious. If you can, stop by and see Tony and oh, take his suggestions on what to eat. We will definately go back when we return to Florence
