Ruby Palace - Fermanagh
Ruby Palace
Description
Mixed reviews have been received for this restaurant. Some diners were unhappy with the quality of their meals, describing them as slimy and chewy. Others, however, praised the friendly staff, hot and tasty food, and great value for money. The restaurant seems to have inconsistent quality and service, but overall, it may be worth a visit for those looking for a quick and affordable bite to eat. The kitchen does appear to struggle with accommodating dietary restrictions such as gluten-free options. Ultimately, the experience can vary depending on individual tastes and preferences.

Went here on a Sunday evening with a party of twelve (12) from various places throughout Northern Ireland. Had an excellent main course meal of different food and was enjoyed by all. Whilst we had very few repeat requests as our main course, there was a very good variety of food consumed by us. Our main courses arrived hot, within a very short time of each other so that we all (12) had our food at the same time. We were well attended to by our server, Jessica, who was a credit to the owner/employer. Will eat here again should the need arise as would many others within our party.
First visit here and will be my last! Rang to book a table with it being a bank holiday. Need not have bothered. Empty one other family in there. Waitress was lovely and friendly However, the floor was sticky, as were the bannisters. My menu came, I had two pages missing in mine. Only found this out as others on the table had missing pages The meal came out of the kitchen. The server was wearing jeans and a hoodie! Not exactly waitress or chef attire. Didn’t feel hygienic to me. Food was greasy and bland. I ordered spicy duck roll starter. No spice whatsoever and so greasy. Main also bland and lacking on flavour. To sum up it was dirty, unprofessional and tasteless. Both me and one other member of the family were poorly that night. Avoid!
They had no starters that were gluten free, and only gluten free sweet and sour prawns or pork as the mains. I had the prawns and the rice was cold with the sauce very bland. I felt queasy for 2 days after eating it. There were many items on the menu that didn’t have gluten marked as being present, but when I asked the waitress, the chef said they all had gluten. My wife didn’t like her meal either and left most of it. Awful place won’t be back.
Nice food and tasty, salt chilli chips double cooked so alot of oil soaked up, also same with chicken balls and spring rolls , staff are young and not very interacting or friendly, no eye contact or smiles etc, I think alittle tidy up of the front of house, carpet on stairs, toilets , wiping down of dessert menus....would help alot as its abit untidy and unpleasant.
We enjoyed Thai green prawn curry and vegetable satay with boiled rice. With a drink each it was very affordable. The menu in the restaurant doesn't feature everything on the take away menu which is a shame. We were told you can order everything upstairs but it would help to see all the dishes. Regardless we both enjoyed a delicious meal. Thankyou!
