Reviews summary
The restaurant offers a lovely view of the marina, and the outside area is more appealing than the inside. Dishes from the lunch menu were delicious, and the quality of the food was impressive. The staff was courteous and even accommodated three dogs with water and bowls. The overall experience was pleasant, enhanced by the good weather. However, the rooms in the hotel were basic and in need of refurbishment. Despite this, the location was lovely, and the restaurant and bar area were enjoyable. The food was excellent and the breakfast was generous. Overall, the hotel offered good value at a reasonable price. Staff were welcoming and friendly, adding to the positive experience.

This restaurant is in need of updating, but the outside area offers a lovely view of the marina that makes it more appealing than the inside. The sunny evening added to the atmosphere. I had dinner from the lunch menu on a Wednesday night. All the dishes we ordered were delicious, and I would definitely come back because of the quality of the food. View all feedback.
What Mortimer Hackett dislikes about Carrybridge:
The price we paid for our stay was higher than what we could have paid at a four-star hotel in Belfast, where we believe the standards would have been much better. The restaurant experience was also subpar, with dirty cutlery and empty and dirty salt and pepper mills provided with our curry dish. The servers seemed disinterested and more focused on their own conversations rather than attending to our needs.

The restaurant experience was also subpar, with dirty cutlery and empty and dirty salt and pepper mills provided with our curry dish. On our last day, the breakfast was poorly cooked and the cleaning staff seemed disorganized and not attentive to guest needs. The hotel is in a good location, but the lack of attention to detail and outdated facilities make it not worth the cost. Management needs to address these issues and upgrade their processes and standards.
We visited this restaurant twice in July with our host family. It is a wonderful place to sit and people-watch while enjoying delicious food. The portion sizes were generous, the meals were well-prepared, and the staff was very friendly. We will definitely be returning!
We stopped here on the way for a coffee and looked out some lunchtime, which looked fabulous, so decided to have an early lunch. the staff was very courteous and we could sit outside and bring the three dogs. water. and bowls were provided for the dogs. we had a prawn salad, fish and chips and burgers. all our meals were delicious, like the guinness. it was a very pleasant experience that was increased by the weather and the intention. will be calling again
Stayed here for night on a fishing weekend trip. Lovely location at Carrybridge Marina. I stayed in room (Nice view of the river) The rooms are really basic and this could be a goldmine, if money was put into upgrading the rooms. Mind...you for pn B&B it was good value. The rooms are different, with some having more beds than others. I had a double bed, wash hand basin and a small toilet and shower. An electric wall heater kept the room at a nice warm temperature. Small, but ample TV on the wall and tea coffee making hanging open wardrobe and a small cupboard by the bed. No drawers. The restaurant and bar area were good, prices of drinks reasonable and the food was excellent. Breakfast in the morning was one of the best I have had in a long time, it was so large that I was unable to finish it. Nice outside area with tables, ideal in the summer to watch the boats on the river. All in, for the price, it was very reasonable, but the rooms definitely need complete refurbishment in every area. Staff were very pleasant and took time out to chat to you.
