Go on a weekend and the whole family all dozen+ of them will be there working in various capacities. The menu and specials are classic Umbrian cuisine. The seasonal Pasta e Fagioli (fava bean puree over pasta with pecorino) was out of this world, and is the Trotta (trout). The gelato is also excellent. Worth the detour in a beautiful sweeping landscape of truffle country and olive groves.

We were told that the present owners bought this restaurant in the recent past and have been improving it ever since. Lunch was delicious and I recall with pleasure the plate of meats from Norcia; in fact, this was the best sliced meat plate on our month long visit to Italy. Also recommended is the pasta with cinghalle (wild boar . And the highlight of our meal was the homemade gelato. We ordered one to share, ordered several more, and wished we had ordered even more! Slow service was the only negative as apparently the family (lovely people! are the chefs, servers, greeters, etc! Do stop if you are nearby or iin our case, make a detour!
