Chiki Chiki Sakaba

My maiden voyage to Chiki was a long time ago and when I walked in I felt a touch hesitant. It Is a little darker than atmospheric lighting and a bit dated but very authentic. The pork gyoza are delicious and I have eaten many a gyoza. I generally order the teriyaki salmon as it is delicious and I just can't go past it. My partner often orders the karage don or one of the other don dishes. We've had other dishes too and it's always spot on. My only criticism is that I have had the karage don myself before and found the chicken a bit gristly and fatty. Overall though Chiki is a gem for delicious Japanese. It's definitely nothing fancy but it is cheap and delicious and makes for an easy mid week meal.

Fantastic, authentic Japanese restaurant! Great food and really good prices. It is never as busy as it should be. They also serve what I think is the miso soup in Sydney!

The food wasn't the worst but wasn't that great either. The decor was so welcoming and traditional so I was hoping the food would be authentic. It actually tasted like inexperienced kitchen hands made it.. Meh

A really cute quaint Japanese place with a nice authentic traditional feel, decor and service. The food that we had was really good but being vegetarian who doesn't eat much fish, I wish they have more veggie, tofu options and buckwheat soba noodles. Otherwise it's really good food, space and service, highly recommended. And really great value. Happy to have it as my local option!
