First time having Max Moritz and it was good German food. I had the dinner sampler (Brat, Jägerschnitzel, chicken schnitzel, fries, green beans, and potato salad), and the ol lady had the chicken cordon bleu lunch. It was busy but that didn’t effect the service…it was great.Let me tell you that GCC was good but the kinder bueno cheesecake was something else. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Max Moritz Bakery:
very full. all enjoy it at lunch. our lunch was very slow. the chicken mustache was badly overboiled. I was seriously shocked on a very hard piece. probably not the norm. Maybe everything else was quite delicious. I would give them another try. they were very busy. View all feedback.
So I do love well prepared sauerbraten with warm German potatoes and and red cabbage Sadly not much of an offering the triangle area of North Carolina so I cruised to Fayetville. Where this place had sauerbraten on the menu. Off I went for my one hour and twenty minute drive to get there. The ambience was so so. Don’t have the feel of a German establishment. But I didn’t go for the interior I went forThe food. The nice waitress that took my order said she would check to see if there was any left as it would sell out regularly. That’s where it went down hill. If you’ve ever had sauerbraten you know there is a tangy vinegary sweetness to the beef roast. And that blends so wellWith red cabbage. Alas what came out was roast beef with a brown gravy that tasted like the roast beef I get at Golden Corral. Now don’t me get wrong it was very good roast beef and gravy . But not sauerbraten by any means. So don’t go there for sauerbraten. I’m sureTheir other foods are wonderful. We he black forest cake was epic.
Love this place.Being born and raised in Germany, it's nice to find a restaurant with our favorite food, especially the dessert and bread. Cozy small restaurant, friendly people and great food.
Just ate here for the first time and everything was wonderful! I had the Jägerschnitzel, red cabbage, spätzle and cucumber salad. It was all delicious! I was so excited to find out that they had Spaghettieis too. I haven't had that since I was a kid. The staff was great too. We will definitely be back!
I visit this restaurant often and take friends and family there, I am a native German born and raised as well as my family. The food is very good, many people don't understand that food from Germany it's self differs from region to region, as most of the meat, and veggies are from local area, and the taste differs slightly. The food is well prepared, and staff is polite. Made to order, not fast food place, so you will have to wait. Guter Appetit
I’m Polish so when I found out about this this restaurant I wanted to go. My buddy took me there for my birthday and omg was it good. Every dish was classic German recipes and they had imported beverages.
