The restaurant had a definitely above-average atmosphere and service. It's a great little place with excellent servers. My wife had the Baja roll and ceviche, which she rated a 4. I tried the katsu curry in Umami style, which is a thin, watery curry served with deep-fried chicken strips. It is quite different from Indian or Thai curry. If you're looking for something spicy to eat, the restaurant recommends trying the extra spicy Mistel-Ramen. However, be warned, this dish is certainly not for the faint of heart when it comes to spice levels. It rivals the heat of some of the spiciest dishes from Korea. I highly recommend trying the Ramen Noodle and Broth as well as the Chicken Katsu, as they were both delicious. Overall, I had a great dining experience and would definitely return.
A nice little hole in the wall in Yadkin. Probably the best ramen in the area. Go enjoy a beer or some sake or bubble tea with some crispy gyoza and a nice bowl of Japanese comfort food. Fast, friendly, cozy and delicuous.
We had the most amazing experience tonight at Umami. The food and the atmosphere is so fantastic, and the service was phenomenal. Just the date night spot we were looking for. We will without a date be back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I absolutely adore this restaurant. The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is delicious! My favorite dish is the spicy Sapporo miso ramen and the crispy gyoza dumplings.
This restaurant is very welcoming and cozy. It is perfect for a first date or a rainy day. I highly recommend the shrimp killer roll ramen. The atmosphere is small and intimate, so if that's not your style, it may not be the best choice for you. The service is also excellent!
