Mac's Speed Shop - Fayetteville

The building is cool and has a great atmosphere but the food is terrible. Im not sure why this has such good reviews. Over cooked fries last time, over cooked tots this time, mac and cheese was dry both times. The pulled pork was alright but nothing to write home about. The staff was sweet, i hope this place is working on their kitchen it would make it a million times better.

This place was bangin'. Righteous BBQ and the burnt ends were off the charts. The bark and smoke ring were simply perfect. Great beer menu too. Gonna try the Fatboy Challenge next time. Hats off to our server Savannah, nothing like that southern hospitality.

We ate at this place on 09/15/2022 while we were in the area. It was suggested by someone at a nearby hotel that we stayed. Upon entering, we were promptly greeted and sat at the bar to place a to-go order. I ordered a half pound burger cooked medium well with fries and a side of mac and cheese. Buttercup had some sort of salad and added brisket with sweet potato fries. I will start off by saying that they skimp a little on the fries, but that is a subjective statement. The fries, however, were placed in a paper bag to prevent getting soggy inside of the take out box. They were delicious, just not many of them to enjoy. The burger was cooked as I asked, but was also a little small for a half pounder. It was still good. We fancy ourselves as mac and cheese connoisseurs and find that they are hit or miss in restaurants. There is very little between. These were a hit! I should have gotten more. Buttercup?s salad was also delicious with a hefty helping of brisket. We would probably eat here again after trying other places first.

Tough finding anything open on Labor Day, found our old faithful stop open and as usual service and food were on point!!! Thank you Theresa for your great friendly service!!!

Kielie provided super service as usual, which is rare to see in many restaurants, and the food is always really good.
