They informed us that the wheelchair entrance was located on the east sid... read more We called ahead to let the restaurant know that we would have someone in a wheelchair. They informed us that the wheelchair entrance was located on the east side, which was helpful. However, once we got inside, we encountered rugs over brick floors, making it very difficult to navigate a wheelchair. Thankfully, I was able to stand briefly, and my daughter was able to push the empty wheelchair over the uneven surface. We were seated at the back of the building, which meant my daughter had to push me all the way through, and the tables were so closely arranged that it was challenging to get through. This was frustrating, especially since we had preemptively notified them about the need for accessibility. If I hadn't been able to stand up (and many individuals in wheelchairs cannot), we would have had significant trouble getting to our table. The restaurant needs to be more accommodating for guests with disabilities. Ideally, we should have been seated closer to the entrance rather than all the way at the back. I'm sharing this review because I believe that it's important for the restaurant to take the needs of guests with disabilities into consideration, especially when such requests are made in advance. On a positive note, the food was outstanding, and our server was excellent!

Everything was lacking seasoning, making the dishes bland. The mashed potatoes clearly weren't homemade, and the sides seemed to be from a can (which would be acceptable if the prices weren't so high). While the fried chicken was cooked well, it was lacking in flavor. The apple pie was served cold and tasted mediocre, not particularly special. The carrot cake was disappointing as well. Overall, I felt like we were misled. It’s a shame because the restaurant's interior was quite nice, which is why I’m giving it two stars. I really don’t understand the hype surrounding this place.
