On Fridays they have great catfish, and it's so fun to go with a big group and get a home style meal. I don't like fried chicken usually, but I like it here. Went here for a friends birthday party a couple years back experience was so-so. I didn 't order because I wasn 't very hungry, but when the food came it smelled so good I got hungry fast! I ate off a friends plate and was charged at the end of the meal. Not a big deal, I ate, so I will pay. Understandable. Fried chicken was delicious, as well as rolls and corn. Great homestyle food like my grandma makes. But when it came time to pay, half of us had debit cards that we weren 't allowed to use. There were so signs posted so we had no idea it was 'cash or check only '. Really?! Checks? No restaurants around here take checks anymore. They need to be dragged into the 21st century, a cash only restaurant isn 't as charming as they think.

They informed us that the wheelchair entrance was located on the east sid... read more We called ahead to let the restaurant know that we would have someone in a wheelchair. They informed us that the wheelchair entrance was located on the east side, which was helpful. However, once we got inside, we encountered rugs over brick floors, making it very difficult to navigate a wheelchair. Thankfully, I was able to stand briefly, and my daughter was able to push the empty wheelchair over the uneven surface. We were seated at the back of the building, which meant my daughter had to push me all the way through, and the tables were so closely arranged that it was challenging to get through. This was frustrating, especially since we had preemptively notified them about the need for accessibility. If I hadn't been able to stand up (and many individuals in wheelchairs cannot), we would have had significant trouble getting to our table. The restaurant needs to be more accommodating for guests with disabilities. Ideally, we should have been seated closer to the entrance rather than all the way at the back. I'm sharing this review because I believe that it's important for the restaurant to take the needs of guests with disabilities into consideration, especially when such requests are made in advance. On a positive note, the food was outstanding, and our server was excellent!
