Great German food and the best I've had from since actually being in Germany a few years ago! I was seated promptly and order was taken very fast. Very hearty portions. Order the JagerSchnitzel if you are hungry and want to fill up! I will definitely be returning soon! Beer of course is available too! View all feedback.
What Andrew R doesn't like about German Diner:
The place is pretty dingy and I think a more accurate review of this place would be the German Fryer. What I had was a Chicken Schniztel and it was poorly fried The only redeeming thing about this place was its mushroom sauce, and decent customer service. View all feedback.
I'm so excited to see a German diner. There's one German place for every 5,000 Asian cuisine places. I had the Jager schnitzel with potato salad. The schnitzel was hot and tasted good. It was a large portion. The potato salad was excellent! I hate to say it, but it's better than my grandmother's. Sorry grandma. The menu isn't very big, but it is a diner. The items it does have are good selections. They only have a few German beers to choose from. They are not on the menu. A simple list on a small white board could do this place well. The decor in this place is not very authentic. It's kind of strange really. A German flag and a few steins on a shelf doesn't make it appear too German. The black and white tiles make it look like an ice cream shop or something. The waitress was great. This isn't the biggest place, but she was running 6 tables by herself and was very nice and expedient. There is also free wifi.
Almost everything here is fried. The only items NOT fried are the iceberg lettuce salad and the desserts. The salad was crisp and fresh with a perfectly ripe juicy tomato slice on top. Not a fan of iceberg lettuce, however, the homemade German dressing made this little salad fantastic. The dressing was tangy and full of flavor. I ordered the chicken schnitzel and wasn't thrilled about the prospect of eating this specimen since I avoid fried food like the plague. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the chicken was actually fairly tender and juicy despite how terrible it looked on the outside. The mushroom gravy was very tasty as well and probably helped to mask the flavor of the fried breading. And, the serving size was generous; check the photos. You get 2 large pieces of schnitzel with two sides. The potato salad is vinegar based and they will warm it for you which, I believe, significantly improves the taste. If you end up too full to finish your potato salad, just bring it home and fry it up into a potato pancake another day. Fast, friendly and efficient service. I love that it is a family owned business and the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. If you don't enjoy fried food, it's probably not for you. Maybe a high 3 stars rounded up to 4.

Not much decor. The plates and bowls are red plastic and the knife and fork are cheap. It seems clean though and the food seems tasty. It came out fast, fresh and hot.
OMG RUN RUN RUN to this place!!!! I went for the 5th time today for lunch, it is still just as good as the first time. It was slower service today, but worth the wait for hot fresh food. It is SOOOOOOOOOOO good. I recommend the Schnitzel with fries (under $8). I tried the salad with German dressing I only tasted white vinegar ... I suggest you choose the ranch instead, although I REALLY hate Ranch dressing but it was a nice little salad, I just wast not amused by the vinegar. My aunt tried the potato salad and she said it was very good. The people that work in there are REALLY nice, it is clean in there and the prices are GREAT!!!! A schnitzel sandwich is a HUGE piece of meat, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise on a 6 inch brotchen (not sure how to spell it but it 's like a french roll only way heavier) and it was more that I could finish, and was only $5.95. The fries are the kind I like I hope they do not change them. The husband had the chicken cordon blue, it looked good, he said it was good. It came with a cup of what looked like tartar sauce weird but he finished the plate sauce and all. There is a cake display by the register and it looks good but I have not been able to try because I tried to finish the schnitzel and felt like I was going to explode. NO way I had room for cake. I should have to eat the cake first but I don 't want to. Maybe cake to go? Next time for sure. 0 stars on German Salad dressing 10 January 2013: It has been called to my attention that perhaps someone from Germany or has actually been to Germany may not share my enthusiasm for this establishment. DISCLAIMER: I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO EUROPE I have always wanted to go. I have a few German Friends over the years I have enjoyed many meals they have prepared. All delicious And I maintain that I enjoyed eating here at this restaurant before I went Vegan last april. I no longer eat meat so Schnitzel is not in my life now. 5 stars on everything else Not sure what the exact address is.. its on Riley Rd across from the produce place.
