This is always a nice, inexpensive place to grab a bite on a road trip. With so many franchised locations peppering the interstate system, you're sure to find one when you get hungry. Plus, they relatively consistent with the food quality regardless of the location you choose to visit. We always enjoy strolling through the shop while waiting to be seated. Now, if they would partner with Tesla and have a bank of fast... View all feedback.
What Bengt Ljungquist doesn't like about Cracker Barrel Old Country Store:
The staff were friendly, the restrooms were clean, and there was a good variety of options for families on the go. I didn't sample the food, but based on the overall experience, I'm confident it would be enjoyable. View all feedback.
Husband and I stopped on a road trip from pa to charleston to the breakfast. we knew that we always had great food and service at all cracker barrels we visited. it was early and we were the first one there. they were open, but I guess the staff was not ready, so we waited for placement, about 8 minutes. then our server took another 5 minutes to ask us what we wanted to drink. we were still the only ones, and finally she brought our coffee and tee. we ordered eier, he crushed and mine over light, also grotten, toast, him cookies and gravy, and both speck. at this time came two more tabs, but another server took them. it seemed a long time to get the food, and when it came, everything was warm. I didn't have to see what I needed to dive my egg. the eggs were stone-cold when the toast came. they try to get our server to get us refilled on drinks, but without happen because now they had 2 other tables. worst eating and experience we've ever had. Remember yourself, do not go in when they are first, let them warm up.
It was truly great to see this establishment open on a horrible night with hurricane winds etc. After a long day of work it was great to have some home cooking. Food was excellent and young lady(Alisha) that took my order was great. Thank you!
Absolutely loved it!!!I went by myself and had a most enjoyable meal with absolutely the best service one would want.Everything was made exactly how I ordered it and the Togo meal I placed was timed perfectly for when I was finished with my meal.On a side note; anyone eating here should take the time to peek at the wonderful nature just over the curb towards the woods. Rare birds and a GIANT rabbit call the protected area home and was very relaxing to take in the natural beauty around the property. This is definitely in my top 3 of Cracker Barrels to eat at nation wide.
We came hoping this was not as bad as some reviews. Well it was. We were seated right away and got our drinks. We ordered and the wait began, we waited a good 30 minutes. We did have some good biscuits. When our food arrived mine was made wrong and had to be remade. A baked potato without cheese and bacon, I waited another 15 minutes and took it to go as everyone else was done with dinner. The grilled chicken was a bit dry and the mashed potatoes were cold. The veggie plate was good. The hamburger steak and green beans were alright but okra fair. The waitress apologized for the late meal and offered free dessert but I needed dinner not dessert.Overall we are sad to say Cracker Barrel is not what it used to be. We will not be back.
No frills dining, but food is always consistently good. Fried chicken was terrific and portion size was great came with 2 sides and biscuits. Left there quite full and satisfied. Wait staff were very nice. Food came out fast and hot. Good job!
