What Freida Kovacek doesn't like about Cook Out:
At around 7:20-7:25 pm, in the right side lane . a lady with a puffball and a black shirt, was very rude tonight. not only did we wait in line for 25 minutes, we saw her through the window digging through the same bag of food numerous times. I had never had a problem with cooking before, but since later, my orders were wrong. I ordered two separate tablets with a large double-outwest style burger and the other with a large double-steak style burger. I have two pills with two hot dogs. and one of my drinks should be sweeter tee and the other one a milkshake I got instead soda. light negligence on my part because I didn't double my order, but unlike the disappointment that costs me money, has now removed me from cooking. I'm not gonna be honest again.
I give it 4 stars because their employee, Angel, had the BEST customer service. Extremely busy, when I got my burger it was wrong. I am allergic to mustard so naturally I order my food without it. Was about to bite into my burger and a huge glob fell out of it. Called them to just let them know to be more careful and Angel was the kindest employee and without hesitation she told me to come on back and she?d make sure it was made correctly. Couldn?t ask for better customer service
They definitely don't make em like they used to. Wait times ridiculous. Y'all close/stop serving at 3, why in the world are y'all closing down stuff at 12:30am? Y'all so busy trying to close...customer service, quality and attention to detail down the drain! Y'all know Jeremy would not like that. Also walk up is never supposed to wait. Again y'all so busy trying to close at 1230/1, y'all had me up there about 5-10 minutes (before I even ordered) just looking at what y'all doing. Pouring buckets of water on/over the fry station cooler ?????????? good way to get shocked. Y'all know better. Do better. Now we get to the food: why in the heck would you charge customers for tomatoes, but put half a tomato slice? Are you only half charging me? Here's a suggestion...how about you prep more tomatoes, because yanno... You're still open for at least 2 more hours, not to mention you charged the customer for a whole tomato. And bacon was borderline still oinking!!! How you messing up bacon when the process is easy. My BBQ sandwich definitely looked shorted. Not a full scoop, slaw barely.
I honestly love the food here. It 's really like going to a cook out. Yummy bbq sandwiches, basic burgers, corn dogs, and their dipping sauce are so good and their banana pudding milkshake is unmatched. I literally go here every time I 'm visiting NC and nearly make myself sick on that milkshake. Sadly though, the portion sizes seem to have gone down and the people who work here can be just plain rude which is not cute. After over 7 years in the service industry I definitely do not believe in the whole the customer is always right mentality but there 's no reason to be short with people for no reason. Being polite goes a long way. Take your job seriously and do it well no matter what you do.
Check out my picture. It says a lot more than my words. The ratio of sides are unequal for one. I messed up my own order by getting a regular BBQ which means sandwich. That 's on me. The cheddar bites will be the only item I order next time in hopes of paying for a meal to get merely a few bites. The other reviews mention this location 's habit of skimming on sides and it 's true. The sweet tea was okay.
