We went for a quiet lunch as the kids were at a birthday party we had a long lunch starting with grilled prawns and clams in a white wine garlic sauce both were... read more We went for a quiet lunch as the kids were at a birthday party we had a long lunch starting with grilled prawns and clams in a white wine garlic sauce both were fantastic following a little break I had the slow cooked pork shoulder and my wife had the pork cheeks which were both incredible, the pork shoulder was the best pork dish I've had the pleasure of eating, we enjoyed two bottles f the fine house wine all for €60 incredible value as well!!! Service excellent and we've booked a return visit the kids tonight. This restaurant is a must if you're in the area

They never got back to us with a confirmation they have the booking but as the we... read more We booked a table on their website the evening before we were due to go there. They never got back to us with a confirmation they have the booking but as the website is up an running, we thought we were safe to go. Waited .. and waited for drinks order to b taken. Waited .. and waited some more for wine order to b taken. Waited ..even longer for our starters. Waited ..even longer than that for the main courses…. Meal ok, nothing startling, which it should have been at those prices. €100+ total bill. By that point we’d lost the will to live! One waitress running the show (now she was good) for a useless boss. She must have patience of a saint with the amount of complaints they had that evening and keep a smile on her face. One VERY gormless waiter allegedly “helping” her. And the boss? Well, he was cheffing, not running the show, leaving that to the two staff. Bottom line…restaurant wasn’t prepared…a brief example, no condiments on tables. People had to ask. Some salt pots empty. Mr Boss, whatever excuse u come up with, if u haven’t got enough staff, don’t take so many bookings. Don’t b greedy!

When we made the booking everything was ok but in the meantime they must have got a better offer so if they treat long-term regular customers in this fashion we will not be darkening their doorstep again. This is their loss and we will be spreading the word.

Had lunch outside enjoying the view and listening to the birds, looking forward to experiencing it in the winter with the log burner fired up! Love the decor inside! I recommend a visit.
