We loved this place. The ambience is very nice, the service was friendly and efficient. We had the most amazing fried zucchini I've ever had in my life. It was definitely an elevated form of the common appetizer. My husband had the special, which I think was schnitzel or something. It came with spaetzel which was absolutely delish!. I had a prime rib sandwich, and it was also really good. It came with fries, which we... View all feedback.
What Bob G doesn't like about Stone House Butcher And Provisions:
We travel here every year for hunting and make it a point to grab a dinner at the Stone House at least once. We were told by locals that quality wasn't what it used to be but decided to give it a try. they were correct in that the quality and menu was not what we had come to expect. apparently there was a chef change and it wasn't for the better. Service was good although we had to wait awhile since two parties were... View all feedback.
I bought meat from them for the first time yesterday, and it was the best ribeye and tomahawk I've ever tasted! This will definitely be my new go-to place!
What an incredible place! It's currently celebrating its 200th anniversary! We were welcomed by Tiffany, a lively, friendly bartender who quickly got us our drinks. Based on her recommendation, we ordered the meatballs, and to my surprise, instead of the four small meatballs I was expecting, we were served three enormous, baseball-sized ones, perfectly coated in sauce and topped with just the right amount of Parmesan. They were delicious! We could only manage to eat two since we had plans for dinner later. After a short break to let our food settle, we decided to order the Black and Blue NY Strip and the house steak salad. I regret not taking any photos, but my excitement to dive into the meal took over. The Butcher Shop next door clearly provides top-quality steaks! I had to take most of my salad home, as the meatballs had definitely won that evening, but my husband made a valiant effort to finish his steak, determined not to leave anything behind. Throughout the night, Tiffany was joined by Angie, whom we assumed was the manager. Even as the bar grew more crowded, they maintained their professionalism. We had a lovely little chat with Angie before we wrapped up for the evening, already planning our return for the following night.
Every year, we come here for hunting and make it a point to dine at the Stone House at least once. We heard from some locals that the quality of the food had declined, but we decided to give it a chance anyway. Unfortunately, they were right; the quality and menu were not up to our expectations. It seems that there was a change in chefs, and it wasn’t for the better. The service was satisfactory, although we had to wait a bit because two large parties were being served. Our waitress, Anna S., was excellent and very attentive. - Bob G.
My family and I have been buying from these good folks for the past 6 years. The quality is next to none and the butchers are true men and women of their craft. If you are looking for a small town butcher shop that produces high quality, GO OUT OF YOUR WAY TO COME HERE.
