The ambiance is lovely, and the service was excellent, but the food didn't quite meet expectations given the price. The squash bisque had an off-putting aftertaste and was a bit too watery in consistency. The truffle flavor in the mac and cheese felt heavy-handed. While the ingredients were good, I anticipated a more refined experience for the cost.

Terrible. mealy, clear frozen garnel / garnel in their 4 cloves, $27 garnelen cocktail. filet mignon was 2 thin slices, not a complete filet. I ordered medium and 1 piece was essentially uncooked and had to be sent back. the cost for the 2 disc fillet were $52. would never go back.

Aqueous has a lot going for it it 's a very lovely restaurant and we had a very comfortable booth (corner booth, complete with extra cushions . The servers were helpful and accommodating. Overall, it was a nice night, but a few drawbacks: The beef tartare was terrible. It 's not very raw/wet. Not at all what we were expecting. And covered in olives that stained everything, including our fingertips. There was a very large party in the dining room that was very loud and ruined the atmosphere. I understand it 's probably hard for the restaurant to control other tables ' volume levels, but it put a damper on the evening. The sommelier was not very helpful after he discovered we were only interested in wine by the glass. (This was compared with the sommelier at Rockwells, also on Nemacolin 's grounds who was amazing and very helpful.
