**Unveiling the Mixed Bag of Experiences at Rooters**
Rooters presents a paradox of experiences, ranging from lively nostalgia to stark disappointment. While some patrons praise its vibrant atmosphere, enticing drink specials, and attentive staff, others recount frustrating encounters with rude bartenders and a lack of customer care. The venue's dive bar appeal attracts patrons seeking fun, yet inconsistent service has left many feeling unwelcome, especially in busy situations. Guests have reported incidents of being ignored or even expelled under unwarranted circumstances. Ultimately, Rooters stands as a divisive establishment, promising a raucous time for some while leaving others yearning for a more hospitable experience.
Was Alan D at Rooter's a mag?
I went out with a few friends, and it ended up being really busy. We sang some songs and received excellent service; the staff was on top of everything and took great care of our group. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Rooter's:
Walked here as my partner and I were exploring Fargo downtown area. Tall guy who’s either the bartender or whoever was basically rude in telling us we can’t be here. Quite not the welcome we expected considering the reviews. My suggestion: if there’s an event, make signs to prevent people from entering your place. View all feedback.

This place clearly has no respect for the military or at least women serving in the military. A good friend was turned away over the weekend because...
This establishment is a disappointment and deserves to be shut down. If you value supporting servicemembers, I recommend steering clear of this place. They refused to accept a valid military discount...

I was asked to leave Rooter's for wearing a KN95 mask. They said it made them think I was trying to rob the place. The clear message was: Not welcome... even with their intriguing menu.
Every visit to Rooter's has left me disappointed. The staff were unfriendly, inattentive, and lacked consideration. On my birthday, the experience was especially frustrating, as she...
The atmosphere at Rooter's is vibrant, with friendly staff and patrons. They have fantastic beer specials for only $1.50, along with blackjack to enjoy. Additionally, smoking is permitted indoors, making it a particularly appealing spot for those who appreciate a lively environment.
Stopped in here on Friday 08/19/22 Around midnight-1am. Upon entering the bar the bouncer was immediately rude but I still was polite and handed him over my ID because some bouncers tend to be stand-offish. He looked at me and then looked at my ID and asked for my date of birth. I told him my correct date of birth and he then said that he is going to scan my ID and call Fargo PD to verify it. I initially thought he was joking and I chuckled but I then realized he was serious and I said “okay”. My friend and I looked at each other confused and he went to the side to let other people in the bar. He then came back to us and again stated that he’s going to call Fargo PD. My friend then asked him what’s the issue she’s obviously not under 21 and that we needed to use the restroom. He then said aggressively “You can go use the restroom somewhere else”. I’m unsure if I should feel flattered that he thought I was under 21 being that I’m nearly 30. I asked him if I can have my ID back and he then handed me back my ID. This is where I thought to myself that we were being discriminated against because we were 2 black women but he let the other people in that were white AND he didn’t heckle them about their date of birth. He also NEVER “scanned” my ID like he said he would. If you really were concerned that I was underage why didn’t you actually scan my ID and call Fargo PD like you said you would. And aren’t you supposed to keep the fake ID if you’re suspicious that it’s a fake? I was very upset leaving and he appeared satisfied that he made me upset since he was smiling while we were leaving. I’ve never had this happen to me and I’ve visited local bars in the area with no issue. I’m not sure if he was bored that night looking for someone to cause trouble so he can have something to do or felt like discriminating and treating us unfairly but it was really uncalled for and it should be looked into.
I love dive bars and thought this place was going to be great. At first appearance, my hopes were high. After I said hello to the bartender, and they walked away from me to go stand in the corner, I began to think differently. The ice cold vibe stayed the same when other patrons took our seats (seats that had beer and money in front of them) and we kindly asked them to move. They kept mentioning our bad attitude for asking them to slide over so we could grab our drinks.
