Overall great experience, was worried after reading other reviews about slow service and disappointing food. However, our server was awesome, she was attentive and cheery especially given she was one of only two servers that we could see working. The restaurant isn’t too large and it wasn’t super busy on a Saturday night surprisingly. Food tasted delicious, we ordered from the sandwich and burger section of the menu... View all feedback.
What User dislikes about HoDo:
Hi OpenTable, our Fargo, ND, HoDo, reservation was a VERY bad experience. My wife and I made a reservation on your app, we were super excited to go, we dressed up, we arrived, and the doors were locked. A sign stated the restaurant was closed for a private party. Why would you even accept our reservation?? View all feedback.
Cocktails here are amazing. Didn't try to eat, but it's atmosphere what I was looking for on my trip. It's a good place to sit down and catch up with someone.
As a vegan I am limited where I can go for a meal, if I want to hang out on a bar, but hodo was one of those places. they served delicious vegan options, along with good drinks in a very friendly and funky atmosphere. it would be my regular hangout if I lived in fargo. loved unusual local art. look at the happy hour painting above the back trip.
They have vegan labels next to their vegan options. there are very few, but their zucchini sandwich is delicious! it is grilled zucchini, tomaten, spinat, and avocado on a Ciabatta beer and a kind of vegan sauce/spread. it was so hearty and deep and tasteful. $11 and comes with a fries. I'd get it back. the service was slow and they were not even very busy, but I would say it is worth noting if you are not in a hurry.
I stayed at the place on my short trip to ND/MN. her special was falafel platter. they can vegan couple dishes, but have limited options. I thought falafel was really good and the whole meal was pleasant. I would definitely go back if in the opposite.
