This restaurant in Fareham is one of the best little independent spots around, but too many people overlook it. Mandy, the owner, is incredibly friendly, as are her staff who are all volunteers. The food is freshly prepared, and the cakes, whether homemade or brought in by independent bakers, are delicious. Be sure to try the vegan chocolate cake. Don't just walk past, stop in for a coffee or snack. You won't be disappointed (and it's much better than the pub chain across the street)!
I always enjoy visiting this restaurant, although I don't get the chance to go often. Mandy runs the place to give teenagers a chance to gain confidence and experience in the industry before moving on to other endeavors. The menu may not be extensive, but the light bites are delicious and the service is top-notch. It's a shame that so many people pass by without stopping in to enjoy a coffee and a slice of one of the amazing cakes on offer.
Great business, lovely coffee and adventurous in providing vegan options. The quiche was really tasty and good value.
Mandy runs this with the help of her volunteers. She works so hard to keep it going and with so many other cafes and restaurants nearby she needs your support. The cafe is run to give those who need assistance with learning skills a confidence boost. It’s a small cafe doing drinks and snack plus the homemade cakes Mandy makes, all of which look delicious.
