The pizza is good and I like that you can choose between spicy and non-spicy sauce, especially since spicy sauce has eliminated some of our favorite pizza place options since we had spice-averse kids. We came for lunch at about 2pm on a weekday. I had skipped breakfast and was starving--the pizza, hot and fresh from the pizza oven--definitely hit the spot. I can imagine how it is the perfect meal for the cyclists sto... View all feedback.
What David Patchen doesn't like about Splitrock Tap Wheel:
I recently visited a restaurant to inquire about getting some maintenance done on my bike. They quoted me $450 to change the pads and replace my chain, claiming it was worn out. I found this price to be surprisingly high, especially considering I only have 1600 miles on my bike. The employee also suggested that I budget 10% of the cost of my eMTB for maintenance each year, totaling $750. I decided to get a second opi... View all feedback.
I decided to get a second opinion and stopped at another shop on my way home. They measured my chain and found that it wasn't even halfway worn, and the pad replacement would be a minimal cost. I was wary of the initial restaurant for trying to upsell unnecessary services, so I decided to pass on their offer.
I bought a Specialized Kenevo e-mountain bike from Splitrock about 3 months ago. This is my 4th e-mtb purchase and I must say, it was the best experience by far! Jason, the owner, and his staff did an amazing job customizing the bike to my preferences. While I waited, they even upgraded the forks and I enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Splitrock restaurant. I was able to test ride the bike on some great trails near the shop right after getting it. Afterwards, I had a cold brew at the Splitrock tap room with some local riders. It's a great place with a mix of bike shop, restaurant, tap room, and friendly post-ride scene. I can't wait to go back and I feel lucky to have had such a great experience at Splitrock Tap and Wheel!
Henry at the bike shop was a savior! I recently purchased a Surly Wednesday e-bike conversion for my husband, which he loved until he tried to ride it and the small sprocket from the derailleur fell apart and one of the washers went missing. I called on a Sunday, Henry answered and said he had some spare parts and asked me to bring it in. Within minutes, he replaced the complete sprocket with washers. It was our first visit to the bike shop and we were extremely impressed. Henry was exceptionally friendly and helpful.
I had the pleasure of experiencing the Specialized Bike Shop and brewery/restaurant, where my two favorite worlds collided. When I walked in with my Specialized e-bike experiencing electronic issues, the friendly staff immediately offered to diagnose the problem by plugging it into the computer. While waiting, my girlfriend and I decided to grab a bite to eat and a beer. We tried the chicken Mediterranean wrap, which was delicious and highly recommended. Being self-proclaimed pizza experts, we also had to try the pizza, which did not disappoint. We have since been back for more pizza and each time it has been amazing. The staff was able to fix my bike with a new download and it now runs perfectly. The atmosphere of the place is fun, with great service and a friendly crowd. Whether you are a mountain biker, pizza lover, or just looking for a great meal in a fun environment, this place is a must-try. We will definitely be returning soon.
Split Rock is a delightful spot! The pizza, sandwiches, and beer are all top-notch. The setting is unique and enjoyable - sipping beer in a bicycle shop is a nice change of pace. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, everything on the menu is delicious and made with high-quality ingredients. The bartenders are fantastic and the overall atmosphere is positive. Good vibes all around!
