I visited the Bike Shop to get a minor repair done on my Specialized Bike. I was unaware that the warranty did not cover my issue. Henry went above and beyond, telling me to wait a few minutes while he attempted to fix it. Not only did he successfully repair my bike, but he also didn't even charge me for it. Henry, you're amazing and I am thoroughly impressed with the excellent customer service at this shop.
Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. It took at least 20 minutes to place our orders and another 25-30 minutes to receive our food. By the time the food arrived, I had finished my beer and was unable to order another to pair with my meal due to the long wait. The Cubano sandwich I ordered was average at best, and my friends' meals were nothing special either. To improve the dining experience, I suggest having more registers for orders and possibly a dedicated register for beverage orders. Another option could be to have staff members assisting the register person with pouring beers. It may also help to streamline the menu to focus on a smaller selection of dishes executed exceptionally well. Additionally, attention should be given to clearing tables promptly for a clean dining environment. In summary, Split Rock Tap and Wheel has some strengths, such as the variety of local craft beers and the outdoor patio. However, the slow service, mediocre food, and lack of attention to detail prevent me from recommending it. It may be beneficial for the restaurant to focus on perfecting a few key dishes rather than trying to do too much.
You are the only establishment I know of that combines my two favorite things - bikes and food. I had never heard of a Cubano sandwich before discovering your menu, but now it's a must-have whenever I visit. I always bring my road and mountain bikes to you for repairs, and I am grateful for the significant discount you provided on my mountain bike repairs. Your staff has all the answers to my important biking questions, and I am deeply satisfied with the service you have offered. I only wish there were more businesses like yours. Wow. Great pizza, reminiscent of real NYC pizza and tasty IPAs. Also, great staff. Compliments to chef, Miss Nubia. Had the soup and salad and tried the chicken tacos. All were delicious. We drive to Samuel Taylor State Park often so Splitrock will be our new favorite restaurant.
