They quoted me $450 to change the pads and replace my chain, claiming it was worn out. I found this price to be surprisingly high, especially considering I only have 1600 miles on my bike. The employee also suggested that I budget 10% of the cost of my eMTB for maintenance each year, totaling $750. I decided to get a second opinion and stopped at another shop on my way home. They measured my chain and found that it wasn't even halfway worn, and the pad replacement would be a minimal cost. I was wary of the initial restaurant for trying to upsell unnecessary services, so I decided to pass on their offer.
