Wow, we had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. We visited late in the evening on a weekday from Washington D.C. and were really craving hot pot. We were able to snag a table on the outdoor terrace. View all feedback.
What Vincent Phi doesn't like about Hot Spot:
I have been eating here and ordering takeout regularly for the past three years. I have seen the quality of the ingredients fluctuate, but today I had the displeasure of finding very sharp bones in the sliced ribeye. The bones pierced the gums of me and my family, causing bleeding after we ate the ribeye that we expected to be boneless. Appetite killer. I understand this is a rare and unusual occurrence, but it speak... View all feedback.
Delicious food, HUGE portions, nicely mixed drinks, and there-when-you-need-them service. Highly recommend to give Hot Spot a go.
We had a great time here. Several in our party were first-timers and they all had a great time. Nandin really took care of us and had some great suggestions. Food and atmosphere were great even if we were the loudest table in the restaurant! Would love to come back.
I recently visited this restaurant craving hot pot and it did not disappoint! The customer service was excellent, with great servers. Our group of 6 sat at the bar, 3 people on each side. Each person got to choose their own broth and enjoyed an All You Can Eat buffet of meats and veggies. I ordered the Tom Yum broth with a selection of meats, seafood, and veggies. There was a sauce bar behind the sitting bar where you could create your own dipping sauce. I also enjoyed a delicious peach soju, which was smooth and flavorful. The sauce bar was a nice touch to the overall experience.
We ordered 5 individual pots and everyone loved their meals. The meat was fresh, sliced perfectly, and tender. The service was quick and attentive, bringing us additional meats, veggies, and refilling our broth. The Ma-la broth was delicious, with a medium level of spiciness from Szechuan peppercorns, chilis, and bay leaves. The sauce bar had a great variety of flavors for us to customize our dishes.
The broth at Hot Spot is superior to that of other hot pot restaurants in the area, as it is not watered down. The vegetables, seafood, and meats are consistently fresh. My only complaint is that I wish they offered larger portions of vegetables and meats. While I understand it is all-you-can-eat, it can be bothersome to continuously request refills. However, the staff is very prompt in fulfilling refill orders. Additionally, their sauce bar is fantastic. Overall, I highly recommend giving Hot Spot a try.
