Angelico La Pizzeria - Fairfax

This restaurant is consistently inaccessible in the evenings, making it impossible to ask questions or place orders over the phone. On multiple occasions, my DoorDash orders have been spontaneously cancelled without explanation. If the restaurant is going to stay open late, they need to have a system in place for accepting phone orders and maintaining their stock. The one time I did manage to get through to them two weeks ago, the staff member was unhelpful and dismissive when I asked about ingredients due to allergies, suggesting I order from elsewhere instead. Not a great experience.

I placed a large order for an office party and everyone loved the pizzas. The Angelico's Special was especially popular. The toppings tasted fresh and the crust was deliciously soft. I was informed that the pizzas would be 15 minutes late, which I appreciated knowing in advance. I received assistance carrying the order to my car, which was very helpful. Overall, excellent service and delicious food!

I called to request a refund because after trying a slice, we immediately felt ill from the excessive grease. The woman on the phone laughed at me, offering no apology, and insisted that no one had complained before. She also informed me that I would need to bring the pizza back to receive a refund. This experience was awful, and we are incredibly disappointed. We had been eager to try this place and finally decided to order a cheese pizza to give it a shot. After placing our order and receiving a confirmation email, we were left waiting without a estimated pickup time. After waiting 40 minutes, we called to inquire about our order and were told it was just being prepared. Upon expressing our frustration about the lack of communication regarding the pickup time, we received no apology or resolution. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we found it wasn't busy at all, yet our single cheese pizza took 40 minutes to make. The pizza had an extremely thin crust, almost paper-thin. We were deeply disappointed in both the quality of the food and the service received. We will not be returning.
