Description

Patti's Pitas in Eynon serves fresh, authentic Middle Eastern fare with housemade fluffy pitas, generous portions, standout sides and a celebrated baklava. The broad, region-spanning menu and vegan/vegetarian options pair well with a refreshing mint lemonade; counter service, takeout and delivery make it family- and budget-friendly. As a new spot it shows promise but has occasional early-stock shortages, uneven service and a slightly worn, eclectic interior. Still, adventurous diners and pita lovers will find plenty to enjoy.

Baklava is a Middle Eastern dessert made with layers of golden, buttery pastry, filled with nuts and drizzled with syrup.

This was my first visit, as this is a new restaurant. I visited on a Thursday at 11:30am. I didnt quite know what to expect based off the name, as I 've never eaten a pita. There were no customers in the restaurant ahead of me, but there must of been a call in order or someone outside, as there were other orders being prepared and waiting. The gal that greeted me was kind enough to explain anything I asked, but a smile would of warmed her interaction quite a bit. I ordered a beef schwarma pita, to-go, for $9.00.If you 're just after my food review: the pita was fresh. The meat was smothered in some greenish sauce or seasoning. The meat I received in my pita was mostly fatty. The white sauce on top, I assume is supposed to be like a taziki sauce, is very mild flavored. Overall it wasn 't terrible but I think I 'll try something else next time. The beef schwarma pita is close to what I would call a Gryo, just in a pita pocket rather than a flat bread. While I waited for my food 4 more orders (7 people) came in. It took about 10 minutes or so to get my order. One of the customers after me asked what the soup of the day was and there wasn 't any available yet. I 'm not sure what time they open, but I feel that 11:30 is the start of the lunch rush and they should of been prepared ahead of time. This same customer also ordered the Krembo desert and took the last two. Maybe they 're still feeling out the supply and demand but it 's something to note.If this business is going to publish a little mission statement (in their printed menu) and claim to be a vibrant, warm, and friendly atmosphere by employees who have a passion for true service and their customers I 'd focus on improving this. First impression is that this place is slapped together quickly and rather cheaply. Mismatched and wobbly furniture, the building front is dirty and needs a cleaning, and the staff needs to work on at least smiling a little.Overall, I 'd give this place a try again. Especially since I know they are new and may still be figuring things out.
