So I am a customer of the Ship Inn and I work here on holidays to help them out. I own my own company and I love coming in here as an employee. There is something about working with this devoted staff that brings me personal joy. [I cut my teeth in the old school Main Line restaurant culture years ago with Tacquet and Villa Strafford (I am dating myself and there is also just something about Ship Inn's throwback culture that brings me back to my younger years-go figure. As far as the food, I think it is outstanding. I clears tables and bring the plates back to the kitchen-I rarely see much left on the plates. Get the roasted baby beet salad, Kennett Square mushroom soup and kinda anything as an entree (Steak Diane! and you will be good to go. Thank you Mr. P. :
It was just OK. Service was rushed and not attentive. Never offered bread, second drink or even refill of water. Fairly noisy, thought we would be seated in the quaint inn. All seating was in a bright white over lit area that felt like a cafeteria. Had not been to ship inn in years and will not return. Not what it used to be.
