We ate dinner and breakfast here on the 24th and 25th of August while we stayed at the Lodge, The appetizers and the mains at dinner were well prepared and the... read more We ate dinner and breakfast here on the 24th and 25th of August while we stayed at the Lodge, The appetizers and the mains at dinner were well prepared and the service was polite and prompt. Breakfast was included in the cost of our room and we can honestly say this was the best English breakfast we have had on our British trip with the freshest paisteries I have had in years. We would strongly recommend this restaurant to everyone

We plumped for the Friday night special of 2... read more We recently stayed at the hotel and visited the restaurant on the Friday night. A varied menu at reasonable prices. We plumped for the Friday night special of 2 steak meal and a bottle of wine for £30. The steak was good quality and a reasonable size. It was nicely cooked and came out as we asked for medium to well. Small desert selection but the Eaton mess my husband had was very nice. We didn't book a table but had come back to the hotel quite early so decided to eat there instead of going out again and they could accommodate us as they weren't very busy. However later in the the evening it got very busy and some people who had arrived at the hotel could not get a table so if you know you will be arriving and want to eat at the restaurant book a table , especially on a Friday or Sat night.
