Riddle Rye
Description
R&R has transitioned from a casual eatery to a gastropub, leaving many patrons longing for its previous charm and affordability. While the atmosphere remains cozy and the staff friendly, the limited menu and increased prices have sparked discontent. With only a single vegetarian option, past favorites like halloumi burgers have vanished. Some diners appreciate the attentive service and delicious meals, while others highlight issues like understaffing and inconsistent food quality. Overall, R&R offers potential for a pleasant outing, yet many are reconsidering their go-to spot amidst rising costs and menu limitations.

My partner and I had a satisfying meal and drinks at this restaurant on Saturday before heading to the cinema. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and the young lady who served us was delightful. I would definitely recommend paying a visit.
I went to this restaurant for dinner with my girlfriend and we were greeted by a lovely American woman who was very friendly. She showed us to our table, took our orders promptly, and our food was ready within half an hour. The food was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection with no complaints. We decided to stay for cocktails after dinner and once again, the service from the young American lady was attentive and helpful. I would definitely recommend eating or drinking at this restaurant.
This restaurant is located in a great spot, right in the city center and underground. It was our first time visiting since it changed from Chaucer's, and we were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was cozy, with a nice fireplace to enjoy. It was a bit quiet for a Friday night at first, but the staff was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, they had some issues with their delivery company, so the menu was limited with no fish or dough options. Despite this, the staff handled it well, offering apologies and reducing our bill, which we appreciated. I ended up trying the Sojaburger, which was delicious and one of the best vegetarian options I've had in a while. The fries were also tasty and hot. Overall, the restaurant offers a consistent experience typical of a higher-end chain. Be sure to sign up for their newsletter to receive a complimentary drink on your next visit!
There was a nice atmosphere when we went to the restaurant, although it wasn't very busy. We all had different types of burgers and each one was really good, felt and tasted freshly cooked and came with lots of extras, like the onion rings on them. The young man who served us was faultless, he was friendly, professional and nothing seemed like much trouble 4 him. A loan 2. As I have found that in many places you go these days the younger staff the less customer service they seem, so it was nice 2 have a guy who knew how 2 treat a customer. Would be back there. The only bottom is the price of drinks, but the price of food outweighs them all in a real value 4 money.
