Description

This local fish and chip shop has garnered a passionate following, celebrated for its generous portions and flavorful dishes. Diners rave about the crispy chips and golden fish, often leaving satisfied after indulging in classic favorites. However, inconsistent service marred the experience for many, with reports of rude staff and disorganization during peak times. Although some patrons enjoy their meals, others lament the lack of professionalism and declining quality, particularly regarding the curry sauce. While there's potential for a delightful meal, visitors may want to temper their expectations, given the erratic service.

£41 spent here on just eat and Things missing from order and kids portions!!! You get more for your money at McDonald's!! Fish is not a regular and very small and also chewy which indicates frozen fish. Avoid this place and spend your money on somewhere more upmarket like KFC or McDonald's. At least at McDonald's your Filet-o-fish will ten times more likely be fresher than the garbage these guys sell!! You will definitely get more chips from there. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Vile, never again and reported to trading standards.

The dish came with stale chips that seemed to have been leftover from the last time the restaurant was open.

Good food, friendly service. Parking outside a pain, often easier to park elsewhere walk a couple of minutes. Often a bit of a wait where it's popular, and not the cheapest around, but it's worth it and the portions are good. Super jumbo sausage in batter to be recommended!

This is our go-to chippy for fish, chips, and curry. Unfortunately, the quality of the curry sauce has declined. It is no longer thick, lumpy, and has an artificial taste and texture of curry powder that hasn't been properly absorbed. We did raise our concerns on our next visit, but were disappointed by the lack of response from the young lady and the absence of any offer for a replacement. Despite this, we always enjoy our meals at this chippy.

Friendly staff. Portion size was good. But the batter on the fish wasn't quite cooked. It was still wet and soggy on one side. Shame as what I did uave of the fish was really nice. The batter was light and crispy.
