Reviews summary

Nestled in the heart of Devon and Cornwall, this restaurant presents a mixed dining experience. While the welcoming atmosphere and attentive service shine through, the cuisine often leaves patrons wanting more, with many describing dishes like chicken pho as bland and lacking in flavor, particularly noting dry chicken and insufficient noodles. The surprise 12.5% optional service charge also raised eyebrows among some diners, who felt it wasn’t clearly communicated. However, those who received exceptional service, especially from staff members like Paula, often left with a smile, eager to return for future visits, despite the culinary inconsistencies.

Consistently good food, great service and nice atmosphere. Some of the best Asian food in exeter, regardless of it being a chain!

Perfect night out with friends. We were seated and seen to quickly by Paula, who explained items on the menu to us and helped with our dietary requirements. Will definitely be back

Incredible food and such decent prices for the portion size! Our waitress Paula did a great job explaining the menu to us and making sure to recommend different options for our food preferences. Our favorites were the curry Pho and the rice bowl. If you're veggie/vegan, you need to try the prawnless crackers, so good! The atmosphere in the restaurant was great and they were playing Fleetwood Mac, awesome vibes! Thanks team, we will be back again!

Excellent service, wide selection of dishes and drinks menu with good ambience was the order of the day when we visited an evening in February.

Really friendly place, we ordered the house Pho and it was super tasty and generous portions. We couldn't finish all of it, but got packed and took home. Highly recommended. Will definitely visit again

Lovely vegan food here, very apologetic when they accidentally brought out a chicken rather than a tofu curry. Customer service as ever excellent and friendly. Will be going back for a 3rd visit sometime

We love Pho cafes. When we found it in Exeter whist visiting the city for the first time, we had to try it! I had a green vege pho, which was very refreshing. Chicken fried rice was a bit disappointing as it was too bland. I had fresh mint tea and the rest of my family had pineapple and mint juice. Quick service!

I love Vietnamese food and may have too high of standards since I’ve lived in countries where it is as accessible as a Chinese takeaway is here as well as visiting Vietnam itself. All that said, I’m so glad there’s one option available and it’s a good one. Was this the best Vietnamese food I’ve had, no. It was also not the worst. It was simply good food. The more difficult thing for me is the price of the food. It seemed high to me and will keep me choosing other options unless I’m really desperate for a big bowl of pho.
