We always have a delicious, well presented meal. The location is immaculately clean with relaxing functions. No matter how busy they are, you know they think of your joy. Worth a visit. View all feedback.

What bulldog19 dislikes about Ganges:
I recently dined at this restaurant with my work colleagues while in the area. The meal was decent, but the service was average at best. We felt rushed towards the end of the evening, even though we still had drinks left. The table next to us had a similar experience where their drinks were cleared away shortly after ordering. I would consider returning only if I couldn't find another option. View all feedback.

Fantastic restaurant, highly recommended. A good selection of vegetarian dishes. I had to start Ragara Pattice and Palak Cootu Curry with one side of Brinjal Bhajee for my main. Food was very tasty and portions were a good size, I will probably skip the starter the next time. I look forward to the return and attempt of other dishes from the menu.

A lunchtime with the family was delightful, service and food were great. The flavors of each of our dishes were simply excellent. Best Indian food I've had for a long time.

Very good restaurant, great service. Managed to accommodate a table of 20 of us at last minute. Great food, will return.

Ganges restaurant in Exeter has received mixed reviews recently. Some diners were disappointed by the quality of the food, with tough, dry meat and lacking in taste. Others, however, raved about the delicious flavors and excellent service. The restaurant offers a pleasant dining experience with a great ambiance. While some experienced long wait times, the majority praised the quality of the food, particularly the fresh dishes and in-house made sauces. Overall, Ganges offers a mixed experience for diners, with some finding it the best Indian food in Exeter, while others were left disappointed and won't be returning.

I brought my coworkers to Ganges Restaurant while we were working in the area. I have high standards when it comes to food, especially Indian cuisine, and I was pleased to find that all of our meals were delicious and beautifully presented. The staff was attentive and the prices were reasonable. We plan on returning soon as we finish up our work in Exeter. I only wish there was a restaurant as good as this near my home.

The food was average and nothing stood out. The service was very lacking. We did not receive all of our orders, and when we brought it to their attention, it took so long to get what was missing that most of us had already finished our meals. I would suggest trying Gandhi Indian Cuisine instead, as it is a much better option.

We ordered Palak Paneer, butter chicken and lamb tikka from here to the holiday inn express we were staying at. The Palak paneer was in a yellow sauce .. shocking but worse was that it was SWEET like sweetest custard sauce. When we called they were like oh you should have told us you don’t want sugar. Being Indian , living in London, I’ve eaten Palak paneer in hundreds of places all over the world NEVER have I ever seen it served in yellow custard sauce. Then they resent it ..the SAME Sugary Palak paneer with tons of chili . Completely in edible. An Indian reataurant that can’t serve basic dish like Saag Paneer should be shut down . Butter chicken is always in a sweetish sauce but this was laden with sugar. I don’t know what their obsession is with sugar ?? ??? Worst Dinner ever!!
