Mill On The Exe - Exeter
Mill On The Exe
Description
The restaurant, with a very good location and plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, offers a mixed experience according to reviews. While some patrons had excellent experiences with delicious food and fantastic service, others were disappointed by slow service, undercooked fish, and issues with table bookings. Overall, many customers enjoyed their meals and praised the attentive staff, but there were some instances where the service fell short of expectations. Despite some inconsistencies, the bright and airy indoor area was a hit with patrons, and many expressed intentions to return for another visit.

The restaurant is a fantastic choice for both lunch and dinner. I really enjoyed the variety of small plates available. The flatbread with olives was served hot and disappeared quickly. Our...
The food at this restaurant is fantastic. It is situated on the River Exe by a weir, which adds to the lovely atmosphere. Our meals included an excellent Ploughman's, Fish and Chips, Steak Frites, and Mackerel Nicoise.
Located on the river in Exeter, this St Austell pub offers the usual selection of beers you would expect. The atmosphere must be delightful in the summer, with the waterfront setting and outdoor seating.
Fancy place with great food selection. Nearing summer you could come here and have dinner and have a nice walk down to the Quay. Cannot think of a better place to bring your first date. Mostly locals and much less students because of the steeper price compared to neighboring premises. A nice place set up down by the river to have a beer.
Ok. We went here for Sunday lunch today and I have to say, the staff and service were excellent but I was absolutely appalled at the amount of food I got for a roast lunch for £21!!! This is not a small amount of money for a communal lunch not a bespoke meal. I do NOT need quantity over quality and prefer the latter but my plate was less than half full when it arrived (a normal sized plate) I had two half slices of beef, one small floret of broccoli, one quarter parsnip, half a carrot, a small bit of cauliflower cheese and some scrapings of cabbage. The food was quite nice, not outstanding but it was ridiculous. I am not a large man. I am not a greedy man. But I expect to leave here feeling like I have been fed properly especially for £21 for what is a fairly well trodden path of a Sunday lunch. I am really, really, really disappointed and if they are struggling to make money with what they charged me then it is clear, they will not be in business for much longer. What a fall from grace in my eyes!
