We frequently visit Ebdons for a casual dinner and drinks in the evening. The salads are amazing! The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is very friendly. We also like to take the salads to-go for weekend lunches. We are fortunate to have this local, independent business nearby.

Really great platters with amazing coffee and a unique style and atmosphere that is so refreshing in a town and a world dominated by chains. Fun quiz not quite spoiled but certainly soiled by some clearly biased judging from the resident artist who one can only assume was having a bad night/ life. It doesn’t really matter but it shouldn’t really happen.

My husband and I visited Sidwell Street and decided to check out Ebdons Refreshments. The staff was welcoming and friendly. I opted for Garlicky Mushrooms on Toasted Sourdough Bread with a Poached Egg and Beetroot Ketchup, which was delicious. My husband chose the Steak and Stilton Pie, accompanied by a delightful homemade chutney. The cafe had a unique atmosphere that we both enjoyed, with lovely decor including a large mirror on the wall. We were impressed by the variety of food options available and look forward to trying one of their platters on our next visit. The music selection was also excellent.

I am so happy that I finally decided to visit this restaurant! I usually don't dine out alone, but I was warmly welcomed and felt very at ease as soon as I walked in. The interior decor is charming, quirky, and cozy. The food was also excellent - my toasted sandwich came with a delicious side of chutney that was a delightful surprise! The deli had a wide variety of options, and the cakes looked delicious with lots of locally sourced ingredients. I highly recommend this place!

For this in all ways eclectic café and bar. Delicious food from my vegan (for those who suffer) toasted sandwich, complemented with a yummy salad (not an oxymoron), to a proper home made steak and Stilton pie. Great coffee and a range of excellent craft beers. Lovely team of ladies. Deservedly a majority of 5 star reviews here but I always find curious that so often a vindictive self righteous 1 star review is from those who have only ever done one or two reviews in their whole life, yet find the energy to be negative.
