One of the starters was missing from the platter, but it was brought out when we asked for it. The staff was friendly, but seemed overwhelmed with their workload and there was a loud group at a nearby table.

Although cramped i... read more We were given a voucher from my fiancé’s dad so decided to book ASK last week. We sat down and then were offered another table with a window. Although cramped it had a view so no major issues. The service was very slow, the restaurant was busy and we were not expecting quick service. Although when several tables including a table of 8 had their mains before us (although we had ordered before) we thought they had forgotten us. One of the waitresses did come to apologise. The food was ok, we had the cheese fondu and pumpkin arachni to start which was nice. We both had pizza for main which was rather bland and the desserts (chocolate gnocchi and honeycomb cheesecake) were ok. Overall I will probably give ASK a miss for future bookings and try other places in Exeter.

The f... read more I visited ASK two weeks ago with my mother, brother and his partner. They have a wide range of drinks, from wine to cocktails, soft drinks and hot drinks. The food was absolutely amazing, we had the sharing plates with followed by pasta for nets. It was so delicious and we didn't have to wait long. We had coffee to finish, it was a bit bitter, but was okay, that was the only disappointment. The portion sizes are generous and at such a reasonable price. I'm a student, so I had more discount with my UNI Days app, so the whole meal was such a good price for all of us! The service was absolutely fantastic, we had a creepy waiter who was extremely attentive, the music was very loud when we arrived and we asked that it would turn away and it was without hesitation. I'm so glad we found this place, we'll come back!
