Feedback
One point of disappointment was that we had to order everything at once, rather than being able to enjoy our wine and appetizer first, as we prefer. This protocol resulted in our appetizers arriving immediately, followed closely by our main courses. When I mentioned to the waiter that we felt a bit rushed, she adjusted the pace of our evening, which we appreciated. However, this is exactly why I dislike having to order the entire meal at once; I prefer to savor the appetizer along with a glass of wine before moving on to the main course with another drink. As for the food, the Caesar salad was quite bland and lacked sufficient dressing. I enjoy a Caesar that’s not overly soaked, but this one was simply too light for my taste. On the other hand, the mussels had a unique spicy sauce that I loved, but those who are averse to heat might want to skip them. The skate fish was enjoyable, and the onion tart appetizer was also nice. The highlight of the evening was the apple cake, which exceeded its description and was generous enough to serve two. I also ordered a scoop of vanilla ice cream, but it was strangely hollow, resembling more of a loop than a scoop. Overall, while many things were good or okay, there was something lacking given the price point, which affected our overall experience. I plan to return in about six months to give it another try.
Everything was delicious! The atmosphere was great, and the tagine was very tasty. The bread and desserts were spectacular as well. The service was wonderful. I can’t wait to go back and try something else!
LeTour is the best culinary happening in Evanston in the past 5 years. They have transformed a previously sterile location into a warm cozy space, offering outstanding French bistro and French-Moroccan fare. The sea bass crudo appetizer is excellent, so are the tagines (and most everything else). A welcome and much needed addition to Evanston.
Very disappointed! the ordered steak fries, was $36 on the menu, but was said the cut was updated and now raise $52, almost 45%. . . . and it had no taste to him at all. salatlyonnaise was dry, did not seem to have any suits and the ice was almost hard cooked! add 2 drinks and it was over $125. had the actie in the barn last week and it was delicious, so this was very disappointing!
Very beautiful interieur. we had a table next to the windows. service was good and she mentioned all menu changes when we set ourselves. especially good was the mushroom kabob, chicken tangine and carrots. Eqqplant/Chickpea salat and the muddles were good. wein was a little on the expensive side. we're coming back in the summer.
